Titans Don't Plan On Using Tag On Alterraun Verner

Sep 30, 2014 8:18 PM

The Tennessee Titans do not plan on using the franchise tag on cornerback Alterraun Verner.

Tagging Verner would cost the Titans around $11.2 million, a hefty sum to pack into a position group that already has $8.3 million allocated for Jason McCourty.

The Titans would like to re-sign Verner, who was ranked as the 12th best cornerback in the NFL by Pro Football Focus.
