Dirk Koetter Apologizes For '28-3' Shot At Falcons

May 26, 2017 11:36 AM

Dirk Koetter has apologized after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tweeted a '28-3' joke to the Atlanta Falcons.

"I want to sure on behalf of the Bucs organization that I apologize for whatever that was supposed to be that went out on social media yesterday," Koetter said. "That's not what our organization is about and that was totally unprofessional and not smart on our part, whoever was responsible for that. Heck, we want to be playing in the Super Bowl and we were sitting on our butt while they were playing. So we've got no room to make fun of anyone in the Super Bowl whether they won or not."

The Buccaneers' tweet to the Falcons was in response to Atlanta mocking Tampa Bay's fidget spinner promotion.

Super Bowl LV Moved To Tampa; L.A. To Host SB LVI

May 24, 2017 12:09 PM

The NFL is delaying the Super Bowl's return to Los Angeles.

League owners voted unanimously Tuesday to relocate the site of Super Bowl LV in 2021 from L.A. to Tampa's Raymond James Stadium. The vote was held days after it was revealed the opening of the Rams and Chargers' joint stadium would be delayed by a year.

Owners voted for the yet-to-be completed stadium to host Super Bowl LVI in 2022.

"From our standpoint, we felt this was an appropriate thing to do," Roger Goodell said. "We were fortunate that Tampa had a very competitive presentation when they bid on the Super Bowl earlier [in 2016]. So this was a solution the membership got on very quickly."

At approximately 1:15 p.m., Martin's black BMW was struck by a black Kia in the middle of an intersection, resulting in the Kia ramming into the side of a periodontist's office and destroying an air conditioning unit.
