Philip Rivers is entering the final season of his contract with the San Diego Chargers and has said that uncertainty of the franchise's future won't be a big issue in negotiations.

The Chargers are considering a move to Los Angeles.

"Is the location of this team going to be a deciding factor? I can't honestly tell you that it will be," Rivers said, via ESPN.com. "Is it a factor at all? Sure, but I can't tell you that it's at the top of the list, because it's just really not. That goes without saying I hope we're staying. But should we move, it doesn't move to the top of my list for deterrents for not being a Charger."

Rivers is set to make $15.75 million in base salary in 2015 with a $17 million cap hit. Both sides want to work out a deal, but have yet to start discussing any restructuring to Rivers' contract, per ESPN.

The San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders are moving forward on a plan to build a $1.7 billion stadium in Carson, which is located south of Los Angeles.

The Chargers and Raiders will continue to seek public subsidies for new stadiums in their home markets, but they are developing a detailed proposal for a privately financed Los Angeles venue.

This latest high-stakes move was precipitated by St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke, who announced in December his plan to build an 80,000-seat stadium on the land that used to be Hollywood Park.

The Seattle Seahawks are 5-1 favorites to win Super Bowl 50 next season.
