Darren McFadden Feels Like Rookie Again Joining Cowboys

Jul 1, 2015 2:09 AM

Darren McFadden feels rejuvenated by the move from the Oakland Raiders to the Dallas Cowboys.

"It's great to be in Dallas," McFadden said Saturday at a football camp at Little Rock Air Force Base, per the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. "I'm looking forward to getting on the field with those guys and doing great things this year. ... Definitely exciting. I tell everybody I feel like a rookie all over again.

"I just want to go out there, stay healthy and run the ball the way I know I can run the ball."

McFadden rushed for less than 3.5 yards per carry in each of the past three seasons.

McFadden and Joseph Randle will compete for starter reps.

NFL Could Use 27,000-Seat Soccer Stadium As Temporary L.A. Venue

Jul 1, 2015 2:09 AM

The NFL has considered moving a team to the StubHub Center in Carson, California as a temporary home for a relocated team to Los Angeles.

The venue is home to the L.A. Galaxy of the MLS and seats just 27,000.

Other temporary stadiums under consideration are the Rose Bowl (where UCLA plays), the L.A. Coliseum (where USC plays) and Major League Baseball’s Dodger Stadium and Angel Stadium. All of those are much larger than the StubHub Center, but all of them might also have scheduling conflicts with an NFL team.

Latavius Murray Has Chance For 'Huge Year'

Jun 10, 2015 1:23 PM

Latavius Murray will enter the 2015 season as the No. 1 running back for the Oakland Raiders.

He "has a chance at a huge year" in new coordinator Bill Musgrave's offense, one team source told ESPN's Adam Caplan, "because he is smart, physically a freak."

Murray came to life down the stretch during his second NFL season, pumping out all but 11 of his 424 yards over the final six games of 2014. His 5.17 yards per carry trailed only four other backs across the entire league.

The NFL owners will have an additional meeting in August to discuss the future of the league in Los Angeles.

The San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams each have interest in moving to Los Angeles.
