Drew Brees Likely Wouldn't Tell Wife About Concussion

May 19, 2017 7:45 AM

Drew Brees says he probably wouldn't tell his wife, Brittany, if he suffered a concussion during a game.

"I wouldn't want her to worry," Brees told The Dan Patrick Show.

Brees was asked about Gisele Bundchen's recent comments that her husband, Tom Brady, had a concussion last year that wasn't reported.

The New Orleans Saints quarterback agreed that the idea of self-reporting concussions is a "gray area," because players don't always know when they suffered a concussion and because they might be too competitive to take themselves out of a game.

Drew Brees Expects 'Tremendous' Running Game In New Orleans

May 12, 2017 8:17 AM

The New Orleans Saints have long had a passing offense, but Drew Brees expects to see an effort to run the ball this season.

Brees said on PFT Live that the addition of Adrian Peterson will change the offense.

"That's obviously a huge pickup. You're talking about the leading NFL rusher two years ago," Brees said. "The combination of him and Mark Ingram as a 1-2 punch for us I think has the ability to be tremendous."
