Cris Carter Offers To Serve As Mentor To Michael Floyd

May 12, 2017 8:27 AM

Cris Carter says he's willing to help Michael Floyd in whatever way possible after the wide receiver signed with the Minnesota Vikings.

Carter struggled with substance abuse early in his career before joining the Vikings and making eight Pro Bowls.

Floyd was released by the Arizona Cardinals last December following an incident in which he was charged with extreme drunken driving.

"I knew Michael before," Carter said. "We do have a relationship, and we'll try to grow that relationship. ... I'll try to help him with anything that I can in his assimilation back into being a very good football player and trying to help the Vikings win games."
