Peterson: Vikings Found 'Perfect Guy' In Turner As OC

Adrian Peterson is excited to work with Norv Turner, who was hired this offseason to become offensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings.

“I’ll tell you, our pass offense has really struggled in the past couple years,” Peterson said, via Tom Pelissero of USA Today. “I think [Turner] is going to be the perfect guy to come in and get us on the right path.”

The Vikings have struggled with the passing game throughout most of Peterson's career.

Adrian Peterson Most Wanted By Peers To Appear In Super Bowl

Adrian Peterson was voted the player his peers would most like to see appear in a Super Bowl who hasn't been there yet.

Peterson received 18 percent of the total ballot.

"That's pretty cool," Peterson said. "It feels good. I guess guys are able to see the passion that I play with, the desire I play with, and they respect it enough to make that type of statement.

"It says a lot, and it means a lot."

Peterson came close to reaching the Super Bowl in 2009 when the Minnesota Vikings advanced to the NFC Championship Game.

Adrian Peterson To Visit Groin Specialist

Adrian Peterson will visit a specialist in Philadelphia next week to examine his injured groin. Peterson may need surgery.

Peterson missed two of the Minnesota Vikings' final three games with groin and foot injuries.

Peterson finished 2013 with 1,266 yards in 14 games one season after rushing for 2,097 yards. Before the 2013 season, Peterson underwent sports hernia surgery.

Zimmer has been the defensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals since 2008 after previous stops with the Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons.

Zimmer has never been a head coach on any level.

Vikings Interested In Interviewing Both Bengals' Coordinators

The Minnesota Vikings are interested in interviewing both the offensive and defensive coordinators of the Cincinnati Bengals for their head coaching vacancy.

Jay Gruden and Mike Zimmer are considered two of the best coordinators in the NFL.

Rick Spielman is searching for a replacement for Leslie Frazier.

The Vikings were planning on targeting a young coach with "star power", which would mean Gruden is a more likely fit.
