Donte Moncrief Hopeful Of Returning For Week 8

Oct 26, 2016 4:50 PM

Donte Moncrief returned to practice Wednesday with the Indianapolis Colts and he said he would be "surprised" if he didn't play in Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Moncrief began the season as the Colts' No. 2 wide receiver behind T.Y. Hilton but injured his shoulder in Week 2.

"Never in my life missed any games -- this is the first one," Moncrief said. "First time for everything. ... I thought it was just a stinger at first. I didn't know what was going on. Come to find out it was hurt worse than what I thought."

Frank Gore Becomes First Colt To Rush For 100 Yards Since 2012

Oct 17, 2016 12:11 PM

Frank Gore rushed for 106 yards on 22 carries in the Indianapolis Colts' overtime loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday night.

Gore also passed Hall of Famer Jim Brown for ninth place on the NFL's all-time rushing list.

Andrew Luck On Hits: Blame Me For Holding The Ball Too Long

Oct 14, 2016 8:03 AM

Andrew Luck has been sacked an NFL-high 20 times already this season, but he isn't putting the blame on his offensive line.

Luck believes he can avoid additional hits if he gets rid of the ball quicker to counteract defensive pass rushes.

"I don't think the sacks are necessarily indicative of how well our offensive line is playing," Luck said. "You can probably blame me for holding the ball too long. It is that clock developing in the game. Maybe the clock is a little different for each play, but yeah you do develop a clock."

Luck is on pace to be sacked 64 times this season, a total that has been surpassed only twice in NFL history.

Ryan Grigson '100 Percent On Same Page' With Chuck Pagano

Oct 12, 2016 10:48 AM

Ryan Grigson insists he's on the same page with Chuck Pagano as the Indianapolis Colts are 2-3.

Reggie Wayne has openly criticized the state of the Colts and their front office.

“It’s not a time for panic,” Grigson said on CBS Radio. “The season is young. You can’t let that stuff start creeping in your psyche because you’ll be dead before you even get started.

“[Wayne] is going to have his position. At the end of the day, it only comes down to the belief that those guys in the locker room have. That’s just noise outside the building. We’ve got to focus on what we can control.”

Last week, Grigson said Andrew Luck's new contract has compromised their defense.

Grigson said he and Pagano are “100 percent on the same page.”

Ryan Grigson Blames Andrew Luck's Brand New Contract For Colts' D

Oct 7, 2016 3:04 PM

Ryan Grigson is blaming Andrew Luck's new six-year, $139.125 million contract with the Indianapolis Colts for his inability to build a solid defense around him.

“When you pay Andrew what we did, it’s going to take some time to build on the other side of the ball,” Grigson said.

The Colts have paid Luck a lot less than the Broncos paid Peyton Manning while they built the defense that won them the Super Bowl last year.

Luck also was an underpaid quarterback for the first four seasons in the NFL on a rookie contract with him just now becoming expensive.

Kurt Warner: Colts Are Asking Too Much From Andrew Luck

Oct 6, 2016 11:08 AM

Andrew Luck is carrying too much of the burden for the Indianapolis Colts, Kurt Warner says.

"Let's be honest here. Since Andrew Luck has been with the Colts, they have not had a great supporting cast around him in any way, shape or form," Warner said. "... He has to do so much for this football team if they're going to have any chance of winning. How many times have we seen him fight and bring this team back late in the game with big plays and give them opportunities to win?"

Luck led the Colts to many come-from-behind victories in his first three seasons, but as the talent around him has decreased those comebacks have started to fall short.

"This kid has been really special at times," Warner continued. "But they've asked him to do a whole bunch within this organization, and I think they're asking him to do way too much to expect to be able to do that every time out with the guys around him.

"So I point the finger much more at things around him whether it be the organization, the general manager and putting the pieces together around him to succeed more than I point it at Andrew Luck, even though after the last year and a half he hasn't played his best football, either."
