Oct 29, 2015 11:48 PM

Andrew Luck has denied staying in college an extra season to avoid playing for the Carolina Panthers.

Luck could have declared for the 2011 NFL Draft but decided to remain at Stanford to finish his degree.

"Absolutely not," Luck said of the Colts' Monday night opponent. "And I hope people don't think that."

The Panthers took Cam Newton with the first pick.

The Indianapolis Colts have had "organizational discussions" about the future of Chuck Pagano.

The Colts are 3-4 and have hardly looked like a contender one year after reaching the AFC Championship Game.

Jim Irsay could elect to fire both Pagano and general manager Ryan Grigson at the same time.

Chuck Pagano Doesn't Regret Trick Play, Takes Responsibility For Prep

Oct 20, 2015 6:28 PM

Chuck Pagano took responsibility for the Indianapolis Colts' blunder trying to trick the New England Patriots on a fourth down play in the third quarter of Week 6.

Pagano also said he doesn't regret the call.

"Not pleased with the way I prepared the guys, coached the guys to go out and execute the play. That's on me. I have to do better," Pagano said Monday. "But I don't regret the play call."

Rather than line up in their normal formation, the Colts, including punter Pat McAfee, moved out wide to the right, with only Griff Whalen as the center and safety Colt Anderson lined up under him to take the snap.

The Patriots scored six plays later to take a 34-21 lead.

"The design was to actually to get [the Patriots] to maybe burn a timeout that they might need later on or catch them with too many men on the field," Pagano said. "It didn't work out that way."

Jim Harbaugh Calls NFL Question 'Disrespectful To Game'

Oct 20, 2015 12:59 PM

Jim Harbaugh was asked about the possibility of his name surfacing for NFL head coaching jobs.

“I won’t comment on it. It’s disrespectful to the game. I look at it as disrespectful,” Harbaugh said.

Harbaugh has been linked to the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts.

Harbaugh is in his first season at Michigan and it is highly unlikely he would leave his alma mater after just one season.

Andrew Luck Practicing, Not Yet Certain To Play In Week 6

Oct 15, 2015 12:18 PM

Andrew Luck is practicing this week but he's not a sure thing yet to start in Week 6 against the New England Patriots.

“Certainly took the next step,” Luck said. “Absolutely. Did more and more and felt better and better. I think on track. So yes, happy with how I responded.”

Luck is coming back from a shoulder injury.

A lot will depend on how effective Luck is throwing the ball in the remaining practices before the game. The Colts will practice Thursday and Friday, and then have a walk-through on Saturday.

“If he’s ready to go, we’ll put him out there,” Chuck Pagano said. “He’s a great communicator. We have great docs, great trainers. He’s headed in the (right) direction.”

Luck is 0-4 in his career against the Patriots.

Matt Hasselbeck Starting At QB For Colts In Week 5

Oct 9, 2015 1:37 PM

Matt Hasselbeck will start for the Indianapolis Colts at quarterback against the Houston Texans.

Chuck Pagano had said his team will "do the right thing" regarding Andrew Luck and his injured shoulder. The Colts have never described the exact nature of Luck's injury, but have said there is "zero truth" to reports that Luck has a partial shoulder subluxation.

Luck threw lightly at practice Tuesday, and the team was unsure if he would be able to play, despite Luck's optimism earlier in the week.
