Colts Sign Josh Cribbs To Protect Herron Against Kickoffs

Dec 3, 2014 6:37 PM

The Indianapolis Colts have signed Josh Cribbs.

The running back situation is impacted by the signing of Cribbs. Daniel “Boom” Herron, the Colts’ new No. 2 running back with Ahmad Bradshaw out with a fractured fibula, has returned kicks at times this season. The Colts can’t afford to put him back there now considering their lack at depth at running back.

Colts Not Interested In Signing Ray Rice

Nov 26, 2014 4:56 PM

The Indianapolis Colts do not have interest in signing Ray Rice to help fill their need at running back with Ahamd Bradshaw likely out for the season.

Chuck Pagano coached Rice with the Ravens when he was defensive coordinator.

Rice was suspended indefinitely Sept. 8 for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy after a video of him hitting his then-fiancée was released publicly.

Ahmad Bradshaw suffered a broken ankle in the Indianapolis Colts' Week 11 loss to the New England Patriots.

Bradshaw will undergo testing on Monday to determine the injury's severity and whether surgery is needed.

Bradshaw, who suffered the injury in the second half, was on crutches with a boot on his left foot when he departed the locker room after the game. He also wore sunglasses, possibly to hide his frustration.

Fisher: Peyton's System With Broncos Better Than Colts

Nov 14, 2014 1:26 PM

As an NFL head coach, Jeff Fisher has faced Peyton Manning 19 times, including one playoff game. Fisher believes Manning has never been better.

"With all due respect to the Colts and that system, the system is completely different now," Fisher said on a conference call. "Everybody is moving around, as compared to Marvin [Harrison] playing on one side, Reggie [Wayne] on the other.

"This offense is completely different. They've done an outstanding job of putting outstanding players around him. I think this is the best cast of playmakers he's ever had, and obviously the results are showing that."
