GM: Colts Wouldn't Have Won 12 Games Without Trent Richardson

Aug 6, 2014 10:50 PM

The Indianapolis Colts' decision to trade a first round pick to the Cleveland Browns for Trent Richardson was one of the more frequently criticized deals of the past few years.

Richardson struggled with the Colts, averaging 2.9 yards per carry and losing his starting job to Donald Brown.

"He's not going anywhere. We have him for the long haul," GM Ryan Grigson said, via The Indianapolis Star. "We don't win 12 games this year if Trent Richardson isn't here. That's a fact. With a year under his belt, you're going to see a different player."

Divisional Round Games Average 34.3M Viewers

Oct 15, 2014 6:37 PM

The NFL's four Divisional Round playoff games averaged 34.3 million viewers.

Sunday's coverage on CBS of the Denver Broncos' win over the San Diego Chargers pulled 41.2 million, followed by the San Francisco 49ers' victory over the Carolina Panthers at 33.3 million viewers.

On Saturday, the New England Patriots defeat of the Indianapolis Colts drew 31.7 million viewers and the Seattle Seahawks' win over the New Orleans Saints drew 31.1 million.

The numbers are down slightly from the Wild Card weekend in which 35 million viewers was the average. The Divisional Round games were not as close, which is the likely cause for the drop in ratings.
