Brock Osweiler Doesn't Hold Grudge Against Broncos

May 21, 2016 9:29 PM

Brock Osweiler insists he doesn't hold a grudge against the Denver Broncos.

Osweiler passed on an opportunity to remain with the Broncos to become the starting quarterback of the Houston Texans.

"I am really just speaking the truth. There is no grudge," he said. "I have tremendous respect for coach Gary Kubiak. I love that guy. In fact, I talked to him last weekend. He is a tremendous person, and he is a tremendous football coach. I have great respect for Greg Knapp, who was my quarterbacks coach in Denver for three years. He taught me so much about playing quarterback in the NFL and made me a better football player.

"John Elway, for giving me my opportunity for coming into the National Football League. I could probably stand up and have a press conference and thank 100 guys within that Denver organization, along with all those teammates I played with. So there is no grudge. I have nothing but love for my time I spent in Denver, and appreciation, and gratitude. But now we are beginning a new chapter, and I couldn't be more excited to be here in Houston."

DeAndre Hopkins Thankful Texans Drafted Pair Of WRs

May 9, 2016 11:22 AM

DeAndre Hopkins is grateful for the Houston Texans' commitment to improving their receiving corps by drafting Will Fuller and Braxton Miller.

"Yeah, man, I thank those guys for that," Hopkins told the Houston Chronicle. "Last year, there were a couple of pieces of the puzzle that we needed that could've helped us get over some games. It's the NFL and other teams get paid, too. I think they brought some guys in that are going to push me, myself and everybody in there.

"When you bring in two wide receivers, it makes everybody say, 'OK, all right, there's a little more competition in this room, which is good. It's going to help out the team. I've heard good things about them so far. Everything I've heard about them has been positive."

The Texans also signed Brock Osweiler in the offseason.
