The Houston Texans still believe in Brock Osweiler, but they want to help him get comfortable in the new offense.

Specifically, the Texans want Osweiler to relax and target playmaker DeAndre Hopkins more.

Texans Fan Starts GoFundMe Page To Buy Out Brock Osweiler

Oct 27, 2016 8:02 AM

Brock Osweiler has played poorly in his first half-season with the Houston Texans and fans are already having buyer's remorse.

The Texans signed Osweiler to a $72 million deal, with $37 million guaranteed, this past offseason.

A disgruntled Texans fan has started a GoFundMe page with the goal of raising enough cash to buy out Osweiler's contract.

"I am a die hard Texans fan and we need to get rid of Brock Osweiler or we're not going anywhere. He is a waste of 72 million and for a dollar a day we can get him out and make DeAndre Hopkins happy," the fan wrote on the page.

As of Thursday morning only $205 had been raised.

Texans Not Considering Benching Brock Osweiler

Oct 27, 2016 8:03 AM

The Houston Texans invested heavily in Brock Osweiler in the offseason and Bill O'Brien remains committed to him at quarterback.

When O'Brien was asked Tuesday if he's considered benching Osweiler, he answered with an emphatic, "No."

The Texans have scored just one touchdown in three road games.

"There needs to be more productive and (become) more consistent on offense," O'Brien said. "We're trying to fix it. It's not for lack of effort or preparation."

Brock Osweiler 'Not Surprised' By Boos In Denver

Oct 25, 2016 7:59 AM

Brock Osweiler, who was booed by fans in Denver each time he came onto the field Monday night, said he was not surprised by the crowd's reactions to his return.

Osweiler was playing in Denver for the first time since leaving to sign a four-year, $72 million contract with the Houston Texans during the offseason.

"I was definitely not surprised by that," Osweiler said. "I assumed I'd get a lot of boos. In fact, I thought it would be a little bit louder with those boos."

Osweiler finished 22-for-41 for 131 yards without a touchdown in the loss. He also lost a fumble in Houston's 27-9 loss.

"I think there was so much that was built up about myself and the Broncos in this game," Osweiler said. "And at the end of the day, it was the Houston Texans versus the Denver Broncos. We came up here tonight. We did not play a good enough football game to get this job done."

Brandon Marshall: Broncos 'Want To Kill' Brock Osweiler

Oct 19, 2016 11:14 AM

The Denver Broncos will face off against the Houston Texans, Brock Osweiler's new team, on Monday Night Football this week.

Osweiler signed a big contract with the Texans in free agency after starting a handful of games for the Broncos during their Super Bowl run last season.

"There's no ill will toward Brock," linebacker Brandon Marshall said. "I am happy he got paid. But it's competition. We want to kill him."

Marshall believes the Denver defense is primed for a big week.

"We know that Brock likes to hold the ball so I feel that we can get a lot of good pressure on him," he said. "Just watching their offense, I think this can be a great week for us, I can say that."

Bill O'Brien Denies Reports Of Tension With Brock Osweiler

Oct 19, 2016 6:45 AM

Bill O'Brien is downplaying the significance of reports of tension between him and Brock Osweiler.

CBS Sports reported that O'Brien and Osweiler had a "heated exchange" last week after a quarterbacks meeting while reviewing film of Week 5's loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Osweiler reportedly had objections to playcalling.

O'Brien called the report the "biggest non-story of the year" and said it's a side effect of coaching in an intense environment.

"Anybody that's been around me knows that I really only know one way to go about it," O'Brien said. "That's to work very hard and to do it in a very intense environment. I think that's the type of players we have. So when you're coaching football and playing football, and you're in a competitive environment where everyone is pulling the same rope and everybody is trying to do their very best to win the game, things are going to happen."

O'Brien took over the playcalling duties from offensive coordinator George Godsey after the Texans were shut out at New England in Week 2.
