Eddie Lacy May Train With P90X Founder

Jan 26, 2016 7:33 PM

Eddie Lacy's camp has been in touch with P90X creator Tony Horton on working with him on his fitness.

Horton volunteered to personally train Lacy.

"The Packers will get him ready for the season. My job will be to get the weight off and help him eat better," said Horton.

Lacy has struggled to keep his weight off this season.

Mike McCarthy Frustrated With Ted Thompson Not Signing Free Agents

Jan 24, 2016 5:19 PM

Mike McCarthy has grown frustrated with Ted Thompson's unwillingness to sign free agents for the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers have consistently relied heavily on the draft, but the first five selections in 2015 offered no help this season.

"Thompson operates like a glorified director of college scouting," writes McGinn in the piece.

The Packers' offense struggled in 2015 to perform at the level they've come to expect during Aaron Rodgers' tenure.

McCarthy: Eddie Lacy Can't Play Next Season At His 2015 Weight

Jan 19, 2016 12:36 PM

Mike McCarthy was clear that Eddie Lacy needs to return next season in better shape.

"Eddie Lacy, he's got a lot of work to do. His offseason last year was not good enough, and he never recovered from it," McCarthy said during his season-ending news conference two days after his team's 26-20 overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday in the NFC divisional playoffs. "He cannot play at the weight he was at this year."

This is the second time McCarthy has called Lacy out for his weight.

McCarthy benched Lacy twice during the season, earlier in the year over lack of production and later in the year after Lacy missed curfew the night before the team's Dec. 3 game at Detroit.

Cardinals-Packers Has Highest Ever Saturday Night Divisional Rating

Jan 18, 2016 8:24 PM

The Arizona Cardinals' overtime win over the Green Bay Packers was the NFL's highest-rated Saturday prime-time divisional game since it began in 2001.

NBC said Sunday that Arizona's wild 26-20 victory averaged an 18.8 rating and 33 share.

The 33.7 million viewers were up 9 percent from last year's Panthers-Seahawks matchup and second only to the 34.2 million for Broncos-Patriots in 2012 for the time slot.
