Eddie Lacy Refutes Talk Of Being Overweight

Oct 30, 2015 10:45 AM

Eddie Lacy has denied that there's issues with his weight.

Mike McCarthy said this week that Lacy is "bigger than he was as a rookie."

"I'm not the smallest person," Lacy said Thursday. "Brandon Jacobs wasn't the smallest person. Jerome Bettis wasn't the smallest person. Some people can just play like that, not that I'm Jerome Bettis' weight or nothing like that. I'm just saying, not everybody's meant to look like Adrian Peterson or somebody like that."

Lacy said the ankle injury did not affect his ability to stay in shape, but he wouldn't reveal his exact weight.

Early in training camp, a person familiar with the weigh-ins said Lacy was at 242.

"When I get on [the scale], it's like, 'He cool,'" Lacy said. "If I'm not, I'm pretty sure I'll hear from the guy upstairs."

Volume Of Undefeated Teams Are An NFL First

Oct 23, 2015 12:07 PM

The NFL has prided itself on parity over the past 20 years, but five teams remain undefeated through six weeks.

The Green Bay Packers, the Denver Broncos and the Cincinnati Bengals are 6-0, while the New England Patriots and the Carolina Panthers are 5-0.

The Panthers have reached the playoffs in each of the past two seasons, while the Broncos and Bengals are on four straight seasons in the playoffs and the Packers and Patriots have made the playoffs in six straight seasons.

Before 2015, there had been only one season in which even four teams emerged with perfect records through six weeks.

Eddie Lacy's Sprained Ankle 'Going Away'

Oct 1, 2015 7:35 PM

Eddie Lacy hasn't completely healed from his sprained right ankle, but he's feeling better than he did in 2013 when he had the same injury.

“It’s better than that because it’s not going to be a lingering thing,” Lacy said Thursday. “It’s going away. My rookie year, it really didn’t go away.”

Lacy carried only 10 times but managed 46 yards in Week 3. Lacy also caught three passes for 41 yards, including a 26-yard catch-and-run on a screen
