April 2014 - Green Bay Packers Wiretap
The New York Giants have hired Ben McAdoo as offensive coordinator.
McAdoo has been an assistant with the Green Bay Packers since 2006 and is considered a protege of Mike McCarthy.
McAdoo had also been a candidate for the Cleveland Browns' head coaching position.
Mike McCarthy continues to support Dom Capers as defensive coordinator of the Green Bay Packers.
"Dom Capers is an outstanding football coach," McCarthy said with his voice rising. "No one will be evaluated today. We'll go though this just like last year; you guys did this to me last year.
"I'm not going into this thing looking to make big changes, but I'll tell you one thing. When I go though this process, there's things you really like about your program. ... I think Dom Capers is an outstanding football coach and I'm glad he's on our staff."
The Cleveland Browns will interview Ben McAdoo for their head coaching vacancy this week.
McAdoo is quarterbacks coach of the Green Bay Packers.
It had been speculated that McAdoo would become a candidate for the Miami Dolphins' offensive coordinator position to reunite with Joe Philbin.
McAdoo has no previous coordinator or assistant coaching experience.
Browns' CEO Joe Banner hired Andy Reid in 1999 when he was also quarterbacks coach of the Packers.
Michael Crabtree's big game in the 49ers 23-20 wild-card win Sunday over the Packers had head coach Jim Harbaugh putting the receiver in a class by himself when it comes to catching passes.
"People talked about cold weather and it would be a tough-to-catch ball, but the greatest catcher of all time, Michael Crabtree, catches everything," Harbaugh told reporters.
The AP released its 2013 All-Pro team on Friday, which is determined by 50 AP voters.
