Aug 30, 2016 4:40 PM

The Denver Broncos are shopping Mark Sanchez to the Dallas Cowboys.

Dak Prescott is expected to start for the Cowboys, but they are looking for a veteran to serve as his backup.

Dallas, however, isn't interested in Sanchez at his current $4.5 million salary.

Mark Sanchez Likely To Be Traded Or Released By Broncos

Aug 29, 2016 1:07 PM

The Denver Broncos are trying to trade Mark Sanchez after Trevor Siemian won the starting quarterback job.

Paxton Lynch is the other quarterback on Denver's depth chart after he was a first round pick this season.

Sanchez could be released if they are unable to trade him as it would save $3.5 million in both money and cap space.

Sanchez signed with the Broncos this offseason after a successful stint with the Eagles.

Broncos Appear Likely To Name Trevor Siemian Starting QB

Aug 29, 2016 11:19 AM

Gary Kubiak didn't announce the team's starting quarterback Saturday night, but he said he now has enough information to make a decision with Trevor Siemian emerging.

Siemian made his second consecutive preseason start for Denver. Siemian looked composed and comfortable running the team as he finished a workmanlike 10-of-17 for 122 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

"I've got a lot invested and a lot of work that I can make some decisions off of now,'' Kubiak said. "I'll do that. Does that mean I'm going to do it [Sunday] or Monday? I don't know. I've got enough going on that I can make a decision.''

Siemian was a seventh round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Asked after Saturday's game if he believed he would be named the starter, Siemian said, "I feel confident. Ultimately it's up to [Kubiak]; it's a better question for him.''

Mark Sanchez Showcases Guitar Skills Near Santa Monica Pier

Aug 24, 2016 3:03 PM

Mark Sanchez is in the middle of the preseason right now with the Broncos but he joined DraftKings in Santa Monica earlier this summer to display his skills as a (pretty good) guitar player.

While set up as a street performer near the Santa Monica Pier, Sanchez serenaded anybody and everybody walking by, taking song requests of all genres.

Although we’re all slightly disappointed he didn’t know how to pull off “Hollaback Girl” by Gwen Stefani, it’s clear that Sanchez has some serious skills with his six-string… And his guitar case has the tips to prove it.

Broncos To Start Trevor Siemian At Quarterback In 3rd Preseason Game

Aug 22, 2016 5:59 PM

The Denver Broncos will start Trevor Siemian at quarterback for their third preseason game this week against the Rams.

The Broncos open the season on Sept. 8th against the Panthers.

Siemian will get the last best look with the other starters before Gary Kubiak decides who will enter 2016 as the starting quarterback.

"Trevor will start the game this week," Kubiak said Monday. "They're all going to play, and the biggest thing I have to take a look at, too, is how I'm going to play our starters as far as how I get the rotation going. ... It's down to the nitty-gritty here. ... I'm going to make a decision next week, and we're going to go to work."

John Elway Feels Broncos Have Good Enough Team Around QBs

Aug 18, 2016 8:30 AM

The Denver Broncos haven't settled on a starting quarterback for their second preseason game, let alone the regular season.

Gary Kubiak said Tuesday that the competition between Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian has "been very close" and John Elway says the team is planning to wait through the third week of the preseason to "see if somebody jumps out at you."

Rookie Paxton Lynch is believed to be in the running to start as well.

"The good thing is we've got a good enough team around them," Elway said. "We'll be able to run the ball, and we won't throw them out there and say, 'You guys have to go win this.' Do your job, make good decisions and keep the team in position to win. And that's really all we're asking of that position right now."

Vance Walker Likely Out For 2016 With Torn ACL

Aug 15, 2016 10:23 PM

Vance Walker will likely miss the entire 2016 season for the Denver Broncos with a torn right ACL.

Walker was expected to nail down a starting role as the replacement for 2015 breakout star Malik Jackson, who signed a mega contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars in March.

"We think the world of Vance and he was having a great camp," Gary Kubiak said, via the team's official website. "We'll support him through his recovery, and he'll come back stronger than ever."

The Broncos will turn to former Texans defensive end Jared Crick, former Colts veteran Billy Winn and second-round draft pick Adam Gotsis alongside Sylvester Williams and Derek Wolfe on the defensive line.

Devontae Booker Stealing First-Team Reps With Broncos

Aug 16, 2016 8:26 AM

Denver Broncos rookie running back Devontae Booker has been stealing some work with the first-team offense as of late.

"Probably just the coaches wanting me to get more reps with the 1s," Booker told Mike Klis of KUSA-TV. "Felt good about it and just continuing to go about the work."

Booker has quickly earned the trust of Denver's coaching staff with running backs aide Eric Studesville saying: "I'll put him in the game right now."

The Broncos have C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman returning at the position.
