May 30, 2016 7:11 PM

Peyton Manning talked about how he nearly signed with the Tennessee Titans in 2012.

Manning signed with the Denver Broncos and also considered the Titans and San Francisco 49ers.

"I was pretty close," Manning said.

"I was hoping we would win out," the late Titans' owner Bud Adams said at the time. "I thought we'd be ahead of Denver. I thought he'd want to stay in Tennessee."

Brock Osweiler Doesn't Hold Grudge Against Broncos

May 21, 2016 9:29 PM

Brock Osweiler insists he doesn't hold a grudge against the Denver Broncos.

Osweiler passed on an opportunity to remain with the Broncos to become the starting quarterback of the Houston Texans.

"I am really just speaking the truth. There is no grudge," he said. "I have tremendous respect for coach Gary Kubiak. I love that guy. In fact, I talked to him last weekend. He is a tremendous person, and he is a tremendous football coach. I have great respect for Greg Knapp, who was my quarterbacks coach in Denver for three years. He taught me so much about playing quarterback in the NFL and made me a better football player.

"John Elway, for giving me my opportunity for coming into the National Football League. I could probably stand up and have a press conference and thank 100 guys within that Denver organization, along with all those teammates I played with. So there is no grudge. I have nothing but love for my time I spent in Denver, and appreciation, and gratitude. But now we are beginning a new chapter, and I couldn't be more excited to be here in Houston."

Broncos, Eagles Unable To Agree Upon Sam Bradford Trade Terms

May 12, 2016 11:19 AM

The Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles discussed a Sam Bradford trade but were unable to agree upon terms.

"We thought we had a chance to go to a really good football team and be there for a long time," agent Bob Condon explained. "And that opportunity was there and actually the attempt was made.

"When the Broncos contacted the Eagles and talked about the trade, they couldn't agree on the price and so they drafted somebody in the first round," Condon continued. "Now, at that point, our options are pretty limited. So our next best option is to go back and prepare for the season."

The Broncos also acquired Mark Sanchez in the offseason.

Denver ultimately traded up for Paxton Lynch in the draft.

Peyton Manning Received Interest From Teams For 2016

May 4, 2016 12:26 PM

Peyton Manning decided to retire this offseason but he reportedly received interest from teams wanting him to play for them in 2016.

The Denver Broncos, however, weren't a consideration as they were ready to move on from Manning.

Manning had at least some level of continuing his career but he didn't want to "hopscotch" from one team to another.

Manning also was able to end his career winning a second Super Bowl, albeit as a greatly reduced version of himself.

Jerry Jones Regrets Not Being Able To Draft Paxton Lynch

May 2, 2016 12:08 PM

Jerry Jones is already admitting regret over the Dallas Cowboys' inability to trade up to select Paxton Lynch.

The Denver Broncos drafted Lynch 26th overall by moving up with the Seattle Seahawks.

The Cowboys were targeting Lynch to serve as backup to Tony Romo and become his eventual successor.

"When I look back on my life, I overpaid for my big successes every time," Jones said, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "And when I tried to get a bargain, get it a little cheaper or get a better deal on it, I ended up usually either getting it and not happy I got it. Or missing it.

"And I probably should have overpaid here."

RealGM's Jeff Risdon had Lynch ranked first on his big board at quarterback.
