According to the FEC filing, NFL owners’ $7.25 million in contributions represented nearly one of every $15 donated to Trump’s inaugural committee.

Robert Kraft (Patriots), Jerry Jones (Cowboys), Woody Johnson (Jets), Bob McNair (Texans), Shahid Khan (Jaguars), Stan Kroenke (Rams) and Dan Snyder (Washington) each contributed $1 million. Ed Glazer (Buccaneers) contributed $250,000.

DeMarco Murray: Tony Romo 'Still Has Something Left In The Tank'

Apr 18, 2017 12:58 PM

DeMarco Murray still believes that Tony Romo can play football at a high level, but also sees success in the quarterback's future as a broadcaster.

"I think he'll do great. I think he'll do fine," Murray said. "He's a guy who obviously had a great career in Dallas, and I know he still has something left in the tank, but I think he made a good decision for him and his family, and we'll see what happens."

Romo, 37, was released by the Dallas Cowboys earlier this month and will replace Phil Simms as the No. 1 color commentator for CBS. He played in parts of just five games the past two seasons and fractured his back in August.

Tony Romo Avoiding Using 'Retired' Word

Apr 6, 2017 1:18 PM

Tony Romo is purposely avoiding using the word "retired" as he talks about his move from his playing career to broadcasting.

“I literally had the opportunity to continue to keep playing football. I’m choosing not to. I think that’s a pretty easy statement when it comes to what I’m doing,” Romo said. “I know the ‘retired’ word is like this word that all of a sudden has 90 different meanings, but it just feels like you’re done playing football. You want to call it retired, you want to call it whatever you want, I’m moving on to talking about it. I just don’t envision that ever changing.”

Romo doesn’t need to be “retired” in order to be done with football as a player and moving on as a media member.

Romo isn't technically retired and had his contract terminated by the Dallas Cowboys.
