Aug 31, 2015 12:05 PM

Fred Jackson has been released by the Buffalo Bills.

"Today, we had to make the difficult decision to release Fred Jackson," Bills general manager Doug Whaley said in a statement. "He had an incredible career for this organization for the past 10 years.

"We thank Fred for his hard work, dedication and leadership during his tenure with the Buffalo Bills. Fred has inspired the city of Buffalo in a number of ways. Fred and his family have been dedicated to this community, and we can't thank them enough for their contributions through his career."

The Bills will save about $2.5 million off their 2015 salary cap by releasing Jackson. NFL Players Association records listed the Bills with $6.6 million in cap space Monday morning.

LeSean McCoy Expected To Play In Week 1 Despite Hamstring

Aug 19, 2015 12:31 PM

LeSean McCoy injured his left hamstring on Tuesday, but he's expected to be ready for the Buffalo Bills' opener on Sept. 13.

Following practice, Rex Ryan said trainers informed him the hamstring was intact and had not been pulled off the bone, which he described as "a real positive."

McCoy was hurt about an hour into practice when he pulled up while running a route during a 7-on-7 red-zone drill against the Browns.

Bills Claim IK Enemkpali Off Waivers

Aug 12, 2015 8:18 PM

The Buffalo Bills claimed former New York Jets linebacker IK Enemkpali off waivers Wednesday, one day after the Jets released him following a locker-room altercation in which Enemkpali punched quarterback Geno Smith.

Rex Ryan was the Jets' head coach when the team drafted Enemkpali in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL draft.

Ryan was subdued and at times defensive while speaking to reporters Wednesday night shortly after the Bills announced Enemkpali's signing, saying he had yet to speak to Enemkpali.
