Cardinals Sign Bruce Arians, Steve Keim To Extensions Through 2018

The Arizona Cardinals have signed Bruce Arians and Steve Keim to extensions through 2018.

Arians signed a four-year deal in 2013 when he became head coach of the Cardinals, so this is a two-year extension.

The Arizona Cardinals and Larry Fitzgerald have agreed upon a restructured deal to create nearly $13 million in cap space for 2015.

Fitzgerald's cap hit was scheduled to be $26.3 million.

Fitzgerald turns 32 in August and has been less productive at wide receiver over the past few seasons.

Larry Fitzgerald and the Arizona Cardinals are working on restructuring his contract.

Fitzgerald is due $16 million in 2015, but he has a massive $23 million cap hit.

The Cardinals would gain $9.2 million in salary cap space if they were to release Fitzgerald, though the team doesn't plan to do so.

Fitzgerald restructured his contract with the Cardinals last year.

Cardinals Hire James Bettcher As Defensive Coordinator

The Arizona Cardinals have hired James Bettcher as defensive coordinator.

Bettcher made several stops at the college level before coming to the NFL, including a stint at North Carolina when future NFLers Robert Quinn, Bruce Carter and Quinton Coples were playing at the school.

Bettcher had been on the Cardinals' staff in both of Bruce Arians' seasons.
