Jared Veldheer disputed the notion proposed by Reggie McKenzie that he didn't want to re-sign with the Oakland Raiders because he "didn't want to play for the Raiders anymore."

McKenzie also made it clear that Veldheer's exit to Arizona "wasn't about finances."

"I appreciate everything that Oakland did for me over the last four years," Veldheer said. "We just couldn't get (a contract) done. It wasn't that I didn't want to be there, because I know that's been said recently. That just wasn't the case."

The Raiders slow-played Veldheer before the start of free agency.

Veldheer said the Arizona Cardinals were "very aggressive" and "made it clear that they wanted me here."

The Arizona Cardinals have signed Ted Ginn to a three-year contract.

Ginn will help the Cardinals' return game while also serving as a vertical threat at wide receiver.

Ginn had a breakout season in 2013 with the Carolina Panthers, catching 36 balls for 556 yards.

The Arizona Cardinals have agreed to a five-year, $35 million deal with Jared Veldheer.

Veldheer will assume duties at left tackle for the Cardinals.

Veldheer is coming off a triceps injury suffered last season.

The Cleveland Browns and Karlos Dansby have agreed upon a four-year, $24 million deal.

Dansby's deal includes $10 million in the first season and $14 million guaranteed.

Rashard Mendenhall has retired from the NFL at the age of 26.

Mendenhall earned $15.1 million in six NFL seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals.

Mendenhall would have likely been forced to sign for the veteran minimum and compete for a roster spot.
